Brissiemaz here.
‘Brissie’ is short for Brisbane – my hometown in Australia – and Maz is an Aussie version of Mary. So, I’m Mary from Brisbane and I’m glad you’ve dropped by my blog.
I set up this blog to help me make a start writing a book. Bits and pieces of it have been sloshing about in my brain for a while now – since I visited England some time back.
It’s amazing how the act of putting words in print and in public sharpens up the old thought processes. Whether or not this has been to a successful degree only time will tell.
I’ve initially posted book chapters as numbered posts then put them in a page format under Index for My Trip to England (see above, under photo). This makes it easier to read as a book. I’ve done it that way because I’m too stupid to figure out how to use all the features that the site assures me it has on offer. Maybe one day I’ll master some of them – but don’t hold your breath! Posts with no numbers are my random burblings or re-blogs from sites I find interesting.

Hi Mary, good on you. I recently had a book published: “God’s Shabby Clothes” and it is selling online through a number of stores, like Amazon and Barnes and Noble. It is a selling at a textbook price, unfortunately but it is a spirtuality text essentially. I am happy to support you in your writing, just let me know How. Good luck and see you at Music practice.

I have a post about flamingoes I saw when I went to London….I live in Australia – so unfortunately I rarely get to see those wonderful birds. I was very lucky to see them when I did….especially as they’re not in a zoo.

You’re right, I have no reason to complain about our winter weather….but I was miffed when I wanted to take summer footage for ‘Summertime’ and everyone was wearing jumpers and warm jackets…mighty thoughtless of them, don’t you agree? Today has been beautiful, warm and sunny, no complaints from me.
